SoDakSACA Conference

Each October, SoDakSACA sponsors a statewide conference for professionals working with school-age children to fit its mission in promoting quality improvement through professional development. Approximately 200 after school directors and staff and others attend this annual conference for the excellent keynotes, workshop sessions and networking opportunities it affords.

Who should attend?

SoDakSACA welcomes anyone who works with, or has an interest in elementary and middle school children and youth in their out-of-school time to attend their annual conference. Staff of after school programs, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, 4-H youth leaders, Boy & Girl Scout leaders, City Park & Recreation, and faith-based youth organizations would benefit from the conference. School administrators, advisory and school boards, and teachers are also invited.

Special Recognition:

At the annual conference, SoDakSACA awards a person, organization or business the ‘SACCY’ award in recognition of their leadership and support in the field of school age care in South Dakota. Nominations (made by SoDakSACA members only) must be made by September 15 to be considered.
